This peaceful, affordable get-away on Orcas Island is like luxury camping with no other campers around and none of the interuptions of modern life. Spacious and clean, the 16 ft. YURT on our small horse farm provides a back-to-nature experience with many of the comforts of home. Snuggle down in the comfortable queen sized bed with down comforters and lots of pillows. Prepare simple meals on the propane burner and use the sink with bottled water for washing up. Dishes, pots and pans provided, of course! Dine by candlelight while watching the moon rise over the marsh. Fall asleep to the sound of frog song. Mornings you can watch the abundant bird-life while overlooking the adjacent waterfowl refuge. Composting toilet in outhouse is clean and odorless. Shower and store ( where you buy shower tokens between 8am and 6 pm) is just 1.5 miles form the farm at the Deer Harbor Dock. At the dock you can grab a latte or breakfast, buy fresh prawns on Friday and Saturdays, go kayaking or whale watching, or just hang out at the beach.

This off-the-grid yurt (NO power) is a genuine get-away form the stress of modern life in a truely idyllic island setting. For your convenence we have a kerosene heater for your use, but in order to keep the yurt as affordable as possible, we ask you to bring your own kerosene, if you want heat.
