Albany Georgia Atheists is an accessible and inclusive community of atheists, agnostics, secular humanists, skeptics, and other freethinkers in the Albany area with the goals of removing the stigma that is commonly attached to religous non-belief and to build a social network for atheists and other non-believers for the promotion of the atheist world view. Albany Georgia Atheists recognizes the importance and accepts the responsibility of providing an enviroment that is open, accepting, and conducive to the intellectual and social growth of atheists and other non-believers and dedicate ourselves to the establishment of such an enviroment in the greater Albany area.

Even though we refer to ourselves as "members" there is no official "membership" and therefor no member dues or anything of that nature. Anyone can "join" and can be as active or inactive within the group as they wish to be. Joining is as easy as networking with us on Facebook or Meetup, or showing up to one of our meetings or events.
