* Previous Front Desk / Reservation / Night Audit experience at a Limited or Full Service Property
* Excellent guest relations and communication skills
* Welcome guests upon Arrival
* Rejisters and processes guests promptly upon arrival
* Performs all guest accounting functions according to established hotel operating procedures
* Become familar with the guest name, and acknowleges them with it
* Answer telephone expediently and handle complaints, problems, special requests, non-related desk questions - making sure to log complaints and requests
* familarity with daily hotel occupancy reports, status of rates and rooms available, etc. prior to begining of shift
* Handle and expedite all guest mail, messages and faxes recieved at the desk
* Maintain familarization with hours of operation for all food, beverage, and recreation/entertainment outlets in the hotel
* Stays up-to-date with all room rates, room typos, special promotions, packages, etc.
* completly familar with all hotel credit policies and procedures - including credit card limits and receiving approval codes on all credit cards
* Keep house bank secure, balanced, and accounted for at all times
* Must have excellent customer service skills
* Strong typing, computer, written and verbal communications skills required
* OnQ system experience prefered, but not required
* MUST BE ABLE TO WORK A FLEXIBLE SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE HOLIDAYS, WEEKENDS AND GRAVEYARD (NIGHT AUDIT)
