I bought this wonderful 8-string guitar just over a week ago but came to the conclusion that 8 strings is one too many for me. But don't let my dissatistfaction discourage you, this is an excellent guitar! 24 extra-jumbo frets, 26.5" scale length, hardtail bridge, great finish, and the stock pickups sound great! It came form the factory pretty well setup so I haven't done any tweaks to the setup. The low string is currently setup for an F# below a 7-string's B, but I played around with drop E and it held tuning and intonation okay. However with the hardtail bridge and extended scale length a number of alternate tunings are possible. This will sell quickly, so come check it out today! Maple neck and basswood body
Maple has a uniform grain, it's strong and stable, and it has less reaction form enviromental changes than other hardwoods. Its tone is highly reflective, and focuses more energy onto the body wood. Maple transfers a bright tone to the body wich complements the warm tones of a basswood body.

Rosewood fretboard
The most common fretboard, rosewood is naturually oily, and works well for any surface that sees frequent human contact. The sound is fundamentally richer than maple because the stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pores.
