RECREATION SITE SUPERVISOR
Kent Youth & Family Services is currently recruiting for the part-time, non-exempt position of Recreation Supervisor for the Cascade Public Housing Community Center.
Plan and implement recreational programs in your assigned community center.
Coordinate and provide direct supervision for all scheduled recreational activities as sponsored by KYFS.
Coordinate facility schedule; maintain required forms and reports.
Manage facility operation and maintenance.
Two years college or equivalent experience working with youth.
Must be a mature, responsible and positive role model for children and youth.
Must have good communication skills and the ability to interact positively with youth,
community residents, other staff, and service providers.
Must have Microsoft Office Skills, and typo 30 WPM.
Must be willing to provide direct leadership and supervision of youth during activities.
Must have or be able to acquire a CPR and first aid certificate.
Must possess valid WA State driver's license and have satisfactory driving record.
Must succesfully pass Washington State Patrol background check.
Experience working with low-income, culturally, and racially diverse youth and families
Must be willing to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
Must be able to travel to meetings and sites.
Must be able to provide transportation for youth and adults in Agency vans.
Must be able to work with a large group of youth and withstand increased noise levels.
Must be able to lift 60 pounds.
Physical agility to participate and supervise youth recreational activities.
HOURS & Compensation:
25-35 hours per week.
In accordance with KYFS wage structure and DOQ
