Covenant House Pennsylvania is hiring a Youth Advisor for our 51 bed Crisis Residential Center in the Germantown section of Philadelphia. Youth Advisor responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Assisting in the development, implementation and evaluation of client goal plans
Conducting assessments to determine referrals to internal and external programs and services.
Implementing life skills training to prepare youth for independant living.
Overseeing client activities and all group or individual sessions.
Ensuring the safety and well being of the youth we serve.
Providing direct, supportive, individualized care utilizing case management skills
This is a full time position with competitive salary and benefits, wich include medical, dental. prescription,vision, life insurance and 403B savings plan.
A degree in a human service or related field is required.. The succesful candidate must have excellent written, verbal communication and crisis management skills, a strong desire to work with at-risk adolescents, and the ability to handle physically and emotionally challenging situations. Prior casemanagement experience with adolescent males is prefered, A valid driver's license and insurable driving record is required, applicants must be able to meet State of Pennsylvania and Agency standards for working in a child care enviroment.
