As part of the Telecare family, Heritage is a 26 bed acute program. Heritage clients typically stay form 24 hours -- 7 days. The treatment philosophy at Heritage is based on the premise that during the acute phase of illness all individuals have the potential to rehabilitate and to make choices about their enviroments for living, learning, working and socializing. Treatment concentrates on symptom reduction and preparation for discharge. Nursing and support staff join with the medical and social work staff to plan clients' treatment and assure transition back to the community as quickly as clinically appropriate.

As Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for all activities related to nursing, the administration of client care systems and client care in all nursing areas, departments including:

-Develops departmental goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies and procedures
-Organizes the department in accordance with administrative guidelines in order to provide specified nursing services to meet the legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines
-Functions in an advisory capacity to the administrator in evaluating procedural changes as they relate to patient care
-Directs the implementation and ensures compliance with standards of nursing practice that promotes optimal health care delivery and meet regulatory requirements.
To be a succes, you must have/be:
-Passion with caring for consumers of mental health, strong clinical reasoning processes, proven leadership abilities and demonstrable commitment to recovery
-Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and have four years of experience, two in psychiatric nursing and two years in a supervisory capacity or a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a related field with two years of experience and one year in a supervisory capacity
-MSN degree is prefered as is administrative experience
-Current valid licensure as an RN in CA is required and CPR certification is prefered
-Applicant must be fingerprinted and recieve clearance form Criminal Justice
