B&M Racing and Performance Products / Flowmaster - Is looking for an engineer to join our talented team of employees. The right candidate would work independantly and with other design and product engineers in the research, design, development, and testing of electronic components, systems, and products related to (but not limited to) automotive drive-train systems and components.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Drafts detail drawings or sketches for the engineering department

Creates and reviews product instructions, blueprints, bills of material and bills of operation

Sets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design proposals for improving product performance or other factors or to obtain data for development, standardization and quality control

Reverse engineers existing circuitry and components

QUALIFICATIONS and/or EXPERIENCE

Ability to interpret, replicate, and modify vehicle signals.

Experience with vehicle diagnostics, OBDII, trouble codes, etc

Ability to construct/program basic to complex circuitry with various functions form basic components

Experience in CAD and FEA (SolidWorks/Simulation)

First-hand knowlege of electronic component use, design, and production implementation of consumer ready products

Must be proficient in Windows based programs and in SolidWorks Computer Aided Drafting software use.

The ability to use hand tools and perform tasks associated with automotive mechanical work.
The ability to read and comprehend complex blueprints wiring diagrams and electrical schematics

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
None

EDUCATION
Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, (electronics, electrical or other technical field) or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. General automotive knowlege & automotive enthusiast.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Command of the English language is essential.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Understanding of calcuuls and differential equations essential.

REASONING ABILITY
The ability to perform and comprehend complex mechanical troubleshooting associated with automotive design
