15 to 20 hours per week. The position essentially is in support to a succesful commercial real estate broker -- this is an ideal position for someone who enjoys learning something new every day. There is a tremendous amount of variety in the commercial real estate buisness and it is generally very intresting and can be very rewarding financially. Key elements of the position include:
Marketing/Research
Brainstorming for user groups for specific properties
Online research of companies, demographics, trends, hot retailers, etc.
Research via public records
Prepare and send broadcast e-mails
Respond to requests for literature
Follow-up calls outgoing and incomming
Administrative/Clerical
Some, but not much filing
Some wordprocessing, contract preparation
Intermediate or higher computer skills
Microsoft Outlook, creating mailing groups in Outlook
Excel spreadsheet competence
Tracking projects
Website maintenance
Database management
Hours are somewhat flexible and the position is refreshing in that the properties we market for sale or lease and the prospects we assist are foever changing. It is truely an exciting buisness!
