Healthy Male Twin Pairs Needed For A Paid Research Study

Dr. Emil Coccaro M.D. and his research team at The University of Chicago are seeking healthy, male, twin pairs for a research study. In this study, we are testing to see if there are differences in the brain structure of twin pairs. Eligible twins, between the ages 18 and 55, will undergo an MRI scan that takes pictures of how your brain looks physically.
The study involves twin pairs spending 8-12 hours at the University of Chicago. accomodations and transportation will be provided. Additionally, you and your twin will be compensated for completed research procedures and may recieve up to $250 each.
Each member of the twin pair must be screened over the phone to determine eligibility. Eligible participants will undergo a diagnostic interview and several physiological tests including a urine drug screen, blood sample, and an MRI. Participation is subject to eligibility.
- Healthy male twin pairs not taking any psychiatric medications.
- Between the ages of 18 and 55.
- Have had no brain, heart, or other surgeries that would entail the insertion of metal on a permanent basis.
- Meet other eligibility requirements as outlined by the research protocol.
