Job Title: Cake Decorator
Reports to: Bakery Team Leader

As a Cake Decorator, you will be responsible for creating appealing designs on our specialty Bakery goods. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, freindly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members.
Perform all duties related to decorating, pastry production, sanitation, and stocking of all bakery products.
Provide courteous, freindly and efficient customer service.
succesfully complete Quest (in-store) training program.
Maintain, organize, clean, stock and rotate daily recieved walk-in products.
Decorate and finish cakes and pastry products.
Properly label and date all products.
Prepare some mixes.
Maintain and continually clean and keep department organized.
acheive and exceed margin and sales targets.
Request and insure proper signs for all sale items.
Participate in regional promotions program.
Control spoilage: generate turn movement; participate in monthly inventory.
Comply with all applicable State Health and Safety codes.
Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships.
Follow established weights and measures procedures (tares).
Perform other duties as assigned by Team Leader and/or Store Leadership.
Maintain a safe and sanitary department.
Report all safety and fire hazards to your Team Leader immediatly for correction.
Comply with all occupational safety and health regulations.
Report all accidents and injuries to your Team Leader or Store Leadership immediatly.
Thorough knowlege of Bakery and juice bar products, industry trends and nutritional infomation.
1-year decorating experience required.
Willingness to taste and evaluate products offered in the department.
Ability to prioritize tasks.
Ability to understand and effectively communicate Quality Goals to customers.
Ability to work well and communicate with others as part of a team.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Understand the importance of tracking all waste, spoilage and transfers to department.
Able to perform physical requirements of job.
Able to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted.
Ability to learn proper and safe usage of steam kettle, hot plate and Hobart mixer (must be 18 years of age or older).
Ability to work box bailer (must be 18 years of age or older).
Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Sunday including some holidays.
This position requires and/or has exposure to:
Hand use: repetitive use of hands with single power grasping and fine manipulation
Constant walking, standing, bending, stooping and heavy lifting.
Exposure to temperature variations
Uneven surfaces of varying textures (soft, hard, slick, etc.)
Reaching above and below shoulder height
Gas, fumes and FDA approved cleaning chemicals
Use of a ladder or stool
Continuous background noises and/or ocassional loud noises
Any item over 40 lbs requires a team lift.
