Growing healthcare firm located in downtown Chicago is looking to add a Senior Hyperion Developer to their team of talented individuals. This position is a permanent opportunity.
The position will be responsible for providing lasting technological solutions using the various Hyperion applications we currently employ. Areas of involvement include financial close, budgeting, forecasting, analytics and analysis metrics.
The position will be responsible for system development, architecting solutions using best practice methodology, and assisting the department manager with future roadmap planning. This role requires extensive work with our buisness customers and an ideal candidate possesses the soft skills neccessary to continuously grow these relationships.
Responsibilities:
Architect and develop Hyperion solutions using the following applications:
Native Hyperion Essbase
Hyperion Smartview and Essbase add-in
Hyperion Planning
Hyperion Financial Reports
Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)= ETL Informatica, SSIS, SQL Server
SQL Server (2008)
Maintain Hyperion applications in compliance with SOX and HIPAA requirements
Translate user requirements into technical specifications
Create and maintain technical application documentation
Create and maintain the data flows required by Hyperion applications
Strong knowlege of finance transactional systems
Promote and develop automation processes within current and future application flows
Research and recommend best practices for usage within Hyperion
Assist with technical patches, upgrades and system/application migrations
Educate buisness users and IT leadership about the power of Hyperion and possibilities of using it for improving financial or operational processes
Mentor for junior Hyperion developers
Requirements:
BS in Computer Science or related field
6+ years experience in Hyperion development
Experience with SQL tools (Oracle or SQL Server prefered)
Experience with batch scripting and automation using MaxL, VB, and/or other scripting languages
ETL experience using either Oracle production or other major ETL vendors
knowlege of Financial systems including areas of accounting, finance, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analytics
ETL experience using either Oracle products or other major ETL vendors
Solid experience working with data modeling techniques
Strong ability and extensive experience in translating customer requirements into practical technological solutions
Exceptional soft skills with the ability to articulate concepts and ideas to both buisness and IT personnel
