Jazz Bassist Needed - looking to start a combo

I'm a jazz guitarist and singer new to Portland and interested in starting up a combo to play paying gigs in town. Adding horns, piano and/or drums eventually would be great, but for now we have to start at the foundation, the Bass. I'm looking for a bassist who is familar with jazz and blues standards and has some basic jazz theory. A string bass player is certainly prefered. I like playing and singing classic vocal jazz, songs that Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong, Chet Baker, Nina Simone etc. did. But I also write some of my own songs (mostly jazz and blues and european folk influenced), It would be cool to eventually add some of these to our repertoire. I also sing in Spanish and French and like to do classic latin tunes and French "chanson" tunes form time to time.
