I have two (2) ROOF GOUNDSKEEPER machines, with a number of attachments up for sale, first $100 takes everything listed. These are about 34 years old, but in very good condition (no rust & minor paint chips) other than neither engine runs. The engines themselves should run, but one does not get a spark & the other does, but I think the carburetor is screwed up.
ROOF Manufacturing is out of buisness, but they made these high-end residential units and built them nearly bulletproof, with very heavy gage all-steel welded construction -- no cheap plastic or sheet metal here. The impellor is made of ¼ inch thick welded steel plate. The closest thing you will find today with this quality construction is the Billy Goat machine that sells for about $1,500.
These would make an excellent restore/ rebuild project for someone who is a small engine mechanic, as if the motors can be fixed or replaced, everything else is in tip-top shape, ready to suck up leaves (hose or vacuum head) or wind-row leaves using the blower attachment. These machines will reduce the leaf volume somewhere between 4:1 and 8:1.
The two machines are nearly identical, except I have only one (1) set of chipper blades and one (1) blower suction-side cover plate and air diverter attachment for blowing to the front or to the side. I prefer selling the whole shebang, but will consider parceling these out. I have the original Roof Product Brochure, the Groundskeeper Operators Manual and the Tecumseh HS50 -- 67019C Engine Parts List to go with these machines.
