This is a 1916 Columbia Grafonola Mahogany Upright Floor Model 85, typo L2, hand-crank record player. This was Columbia's version of Victor's more popular Victrola or Edison's Edison Player. Unlike the Edison Player, the Grafonola can play all standard 78 RPM records. It was made in the USA and the cabinet measures 46 inches tall (closed), 19 inches wide by 21 inches deep. The lid operates correctly and so does the phonograph motor. The reproducer was repaired several years ago. The cabinet bottom has two doors that open to reveal a push-button record eject system for album storage. The record eject system works for the most part but a few of the buttons stick. It is not missing any of the wooden knobs or record ejection buttons but is missing the original casters. It is in very good working condition and the cabinet exterior has been lovingly restored. Also included are several old 78 rpm records. I do have more photos I can provide. Call 907-479-5052.
