If you can, then you might be right for a position with Cycle University. We are looking for an upbeat and eager professional mechanic to join our team. If you think on your feet, are an ace with a wrench, and thrive on new challenges, we are the place for you.
We have 2 full service bike shops in Seattle, one in West Seattle and one near Childrens Hospital North of the U-District. We are a young, fast growing company with new and innovative Cycling Services ranging form Bike Sales, Repair/Service, Bikefitting, Indoor Spin classes, to teaching kids how to ride for the first time. We are looking for an individual with full mechanical experience, retail knowlege and a buisness mind who wants to help us grow and deliver outstanding customer service. We are a littel like a Cycling Health club with Pro Shop and outdoor activities in the Summer and a full indoor training schedule during the Winter.
Some main duties of this role include:
- Mechanic in a retail enviroment including weekends and evenings.
- Working on all kinds of bikes form kids BMX to hydralic braked downhill mountain bikes.
- Selling bicycles and accessories.
- Offering expert advice.
- Working with "Nordstroms like" customer service.
- Answering the phone and responding to emails form customers.
- Scheduling repairs and meeting deadlines.
- Using online tools like Google calenders and learning retail software and running a cash rejister.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of shop, floor displays, maintaining the appearence of the space.
- Supporting the coaching team as needed.
We are looking for someone with top-notch customer service skills, as you will be interacting with clients and new customers both over the phone as well as in our repair/retail area.
This position is 10-40 hours/week at the Sand Point location. Must be able to work weekends and evenings till 7pm. Our ideal candidate will possess:
-Strong mechanical background with a proven track record and referrences
-Great attention to detail and follow through
-The ability to multi-task and prioritize
-Desire to grow within the company
-Minimum of one year experience as a mechanic
-Be a cyclist and familar with cycling terminology
-Clear speaking voice, positive body language, eye contact, excellent listening ability, able to think quickly on your feet.
