Reporting to the Account eexcutive, manage all aspects of the SPEED Road Tour field crew & temporary on-site staff
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Team Management
Serve as the direct supervisor for the SPEED Road Tour crew members
Manage team dynamics and address performance issues as needed
Report conflicts or the need for resolution/mediation to GMR Account Team
Monitor progress of individual responsibilities assigned to team members
Communicate, interact and build key relationships with SPEED crew members, clients, vendors and partners
and the GMR account team
Always act in a professional / responsible manner and ensure that team members are doing the same
Collaborate with the Road Tour Team on ideation for entertainment run of show
Pre-event Planning
Lead weekly conference call with SPEED Road Tour crew members
Develop weekend schedule and run of show
Create and coordinate production of weekly promotional elements
Upload stage schedule to Facebook and create an Event for each race weekend
Oversee approval of onsite temp staff with client and coordinate lojistics with GMR staffing department
Review weekly travel lojistics (flights, hotel, rental cars) with team
Manage vacation requests, weekly per diem and schedule for team
At-track Activation
Organize team meetings upon arrival in market and prior to departure form market
Communicate any schedule changes to the team while on-site
Be cognizant of where all team members are at all times
Oversee and assist team in daily set up / tear down of interactive footprint elements
Be stationed at the stage during event days to assist SPEED production team
Train and manage onsite temp staff when applicable
Oversee the coordination of the pre-show and review team energy, interactive games and team performance
Serve as point of contact for sales initiatives with SPEED partners, integrated marketing objectives, hospitality needs and special projects
Ensure that engaging social media content is created and uploaded as directed (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), and that content is in alignment with the NASCAR on SPEED brand and the overall SPEED Social Media strategy
Support team social media efforts by capturing/posting stage activity through photo/video posts of talent appearences, preshow activities, fun SPEED fans, etc.
Capture photos of footprint, pre-show, talent appearences and on-air programming as well as other at-stage events
Monitor progress of data capture goals throughout the weekend and make adjustments as needed
Interact with fans at stage area
Promote SPEED programming, SPEED.com and social media
At-track Coordination
Serve as liaison between production, JHE and SPEED marketing teams
Work with production team to be aware of and communicate schedule and locations of SPEED broadcasts
Coordinate team stage activity with the Producer
Coordinate Ginormatron programming with JHE and Production team
Work with JHE to determine location of onsite elements and provide direction on placement of marketing elements
Post-event Recapping
Report weekly data collection analysis and photos taken on-site
Provide event recaps of each event for client review
Upload weekly activation photos to Facebook photo gallery
Collect GMR expense reports and any other appropriate paperwork
Provide post-event review of temp staff to the staffing department
Update existing premium inventory
Manage content during the week to keep fans engaged between races
Identify key learnings/potential problems and consult with senior management to address
Monitor program progress; recommend adjustments to program as neccessary
Evaluate results of program against program objectives
Required knowlege, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated knowlege of the marketing industry: promotion, product, pricing and distribution
familarity with or experience in the sports/entertainment/television buisness
Excellent communication skills; oral and written
Demonstrated problem solving skills; ability to lead day-to-day program management independantly
Active social media user familar with posting engaging content
Excellent time-management, organizational and supervisory skills
Ability to travel during weekends, in conjunction with the NASCAR schedule
Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Willing to work in a fast paced enviroment and maintain a high level of energy at all times
Educational and Experience Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Advertising or buisness and five years related experience
Production experience or Field Staff Management experience are prefered, but not required
