Rare Commemorative 23 carat Gold Leaf Stamp Collection. This rare gold stamp, issued from Staffa Scotland, was designed by Seth Huntington, creator of the U.S. Bicentennial Half Dollar coin. It marks two unique firsts in stamp collecting; this is the first time a master designer of an official U.S. Coin was designed a stamp single. It is also the first Royal Visit Commemorative Stamp ever issued by Staffe Scotland to honor its Queen. This is a double commemorative, for in 1976 Queen Elizabeth 11 visits the United States to honor the Bicentennianl. It is also the year the Queen will open the Olympic Games in Montreal, Canada. Only 4,000 Royal Visit Stamps exist.
There are 16 gold stamps individually displayed in this Genuine Leather Bound Display Book. This is a really cool collectible and should add nicely to anyone's collection of time pieces.
