This is a 1930s vintage mahogany bi-fold wood and glass door phone booth. The overall measurements are: front finished height 83", side unfinished height 79 1/4", width and depth are approx. 28".
It has a ceiling light that goes on automatically when the door closes with a drop-down door that makes changing a standard bulb very easy. There is a corner rubber bladed fan that operates on a separate switch. It has been newly wired and ready to be connected.
There is a corner wood and metal seat and a metal shelf that was used for a phone book. On the right inside wall is a frame that probably contained dialing instructions. It is designed to be built in but the sides could be easily paneled or finished to be used as a "stand alone."
Besides the photos I've included, you can see a booth just like it in the movie, "Sting" with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. The booth was featured in the drug store scenes. There are origianl "carvings" on a couple of walls inside.
It's in excellent condition and was used in my home for years and then my coffee shop until the business was sold. It is currently in storage so you will need to call and let me know if you would like to see it. It would be a great novelty in a home or business. It weighs in the range of 250 - 300 lbs.
