Date Posted : 2010-08-03
Group : General For Sale
A Cawley 800 cast iron wood stove manufactured by (or distributed through) the Geering Company of Billings MT.
The stove is not certified for use in some areas. The stove is presently not installed, but when removed from my home was fully functional. It has been garaged since removal. It has a brown finish stove paint.
The Cawley 800 is a truly magnificent art piece. The double front loading doors have cast-raised renditions of beaver and elk. The left loading door is of owls, the right loading door is of a bear. If placed so the rear is viewable are sunflowers and a pheasant to both sides of the rear flue.
The design allows for a pre-heated draft with dual controls, allowing adjustment to the left and right. The top baffle plate is fully removable for cleaning. It is equipped with an outside air intake collar, advantageous in today ight?houses. Notice the sweep plate at the front. The front doors can be opened and the included screen placed to prevent escaping sparks and embers while viewing the fire. There is a generous cook surface with machined and webbed cook lids, with a lid lifter.
SELLING PRICE: $479. Included is the stove, one chimney pipe section, air intake flex-pipe, the original sales brochure, and sales receipts from 1987 (used, $1219.00)
