I am a musician bassist/guitarist. but not a banjo player. But I did have the sense to have this instrument checked, professionally set-up, re-strung, cleaned and tuned.?
Lida Banjo (pronounced Ee-da, sometimes listed as Lida, Jida, Gida, or Aida,) is one of the best vintage Asian acoustic instrument builders. The Japanese company began producing professional banjos in the 1970s that were styled after pre-war banjos. Creating an all-American sound, the Iida banjos are known for their full-bodied tone and smooth playability. Signature details include gorgeous woods and intricate inlay work.
