I have available for sale, this antique, 1900s-1930s era Kochfix brand Cast Iron Enameled Pressure Cooker.
For anyone that collects vintage cookware, this is a very nice item. It is a Kochfix brand, made in Germany, and cast out of iron, so it is very heavy. It is painted with black enamel on the outside with a simple cast pressurized top. It measures approx. 10" in diameter and 10" tall from the botton to the tallest part on the lid, which has a solid wood handle. It is also marked on the top the US Patent on one side that is from 1898, Made in Germany on the other side, with the Kochfix logo underneath. I would have to estimate this was made prior to World War II only because it is marked Made in Germany, and NOT after the occupation of US Forces which would have read West Germany possibly. It is in extremely excellent condition for it's age, with very little, if any noticable damages, with the exception of small spots of rust on the bottom from where flames would have heated it.
This is a very nice item that would look great displayed in your vintage cookware collection, so don't miss out. The quality here is better than anything made today, that is for sure.
Asking only $25.00 or best offer.
It is available for immediate pick-up only on the northwest side of Chicago in the Jefferson Park/Edgebrook neighborhood. First come, first served, please.
